How Collective Step Tracking Works

Accountability Pods feature a powerful commitment system that tracks your weekly goals and combines them with your podmates' progress.

Setting Weekly Commitments

Each week (Monday through Sunday), you can set your personal commitment:

  1. Open your pod
  2. Click Set Commitment
  3. Fill in your goals:
    • Description: What you commit to do (min 10 characters)
    • Step Goal: Target number of steps
    • Active Minutes: Minutes of activity
    • Workout Sessions: Number of workouts planned
  4. Submit your commitment

Commitment Status Tracking

Your commitment moves through these stages:

  • Pending: Just set, week hasn't started
  • In Progress: Currently working on it
  • Completed: Achieved your goal
  • Partial: Made progress but didn't fully complete
  • Missed: Week ended without completion

Pod Statistics

Your pod tracks collective metrics:

  • Total Steps Collective: Combined steps from all members
  • Weeks Participated: How many weeks you've been active
  • Commitments Completed: Your success count
  • Streak Weeks: Consecutive active weeks

Encouragement System

Support your podmates:

  • View each member's current commitment
  • Click Encourage to send motivation
  • They'll receive a notification of your support

Pod Messaging

Stay connected with your pod:

  • Real-time chat within your pod
  • System messages when members set commitments
  • Encouragement notifications
  • Rate limit: 30 messages per hour
