What are Accountability Pods?

Accountability Pods are small group support structures designed to help you stay committed to your fitness goals. Each pod consists of 4-6 members who support each other through weekly commitments and collective progress tracking.

How Pods Work

Pods create a peer-support environment where members:

  • Set weekly fitness commitments every Monday
  • Track collective progress as a group
  • Encourage each other through messaging
  • Build accountability streaks over time

Pod Types

  • Self-Selected: Browse and join public pods that interest you
  • Course Assigned: Auto-matched with classmates from your course
  • Goal Matched: Paired with members who share similar fitness goals
  • Random: Randomly assigned to a pod

Pod Roles

  • Leader: Creates the pod, manages membership, can transfer leadership
  • Member: Participates in commitments, messaging, and encouragement

Public vs Private Pods

  • Public Pods: Anyone can browse and request to join
  • Private Pods: Require an 8-character join code to enter

Trust Level Requirements

Pods are part of the eFit community system which uses trust levels:

  • Level 2 (Motivated Achiever): Required to join pods
  • Level 3 (Peer Leader): Required to create pods

You can increase your trust level by staying active in the community.
