eFit Mobile App FAQ

Find answers to frequently asked questions about the eFit mobile app.

Why isn't my heart rate data showing?

Heart rate data requires:

  • Health Connect permissions granted in Settings
  • A compatible device that tracks heart rate (smartwatch or fitness tracker)
  • Your device actively syncing heart rate data to Health Connect

Solution: Check Settings → Sync Health Connect is enabled, and verify your fitness device is connected and syncing.

How often does the app sync data?

The app automatically refreshes health data every 30 seconds when you're on the Home screen. You can also manually refresh by tapping the refresh icon in the app bar.

Can I use multiple fitness trackers?

Yes! eFit works with any device that syncs data to Health Connect. You can use multiple devices (smartwatches, fitness trackers, phones) and the app will aggregate all the data from Health Connect.

Why did I only get 0 points for 4 minutes of activity?

The 5-minute continuous activity rule requires at least 5 continuous minutes of moderate or vigorous activity to earn points. If you only had 4 minutes, no points are awarded. Once you reach 5 minutes, all minutes count.

What's the difference between heart rate and steps calculation?

  • Heart rate: More accurate, measures actual intensity
  • Steps: Fallback method when heart rate isn't available

Heart rate takes priority when available. You can manually switch using the toggle on the Home screen.

How is my maximum heart rate calculated?

The formula is: 205.8 - (0.685 × Age)

This is why keeping your age accurate in your profile is important.

What if my heart rate readings seem wrong?

Each minute is evaluated based on the average of all heart rate readings within that minute. If you have multiple readings in one minute, they are averaged together to determine intensity.

How do I enable detailed points breakdown?

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Find Points Configuration
  3. Toggle on Detailed Points Breakdown

This shows all activity and heart rate details in your points summary.

Can I use heart rate for more accurate points?

Yes! In Settings → Points Configuration, enable Use Heart Rate for Points. When enabled, the app uses heart rate intensity zones instead of step cadence for more accurate point calculation.
