Health Connect is Google's platform that allows the eFit app to access your fitness data from various devices and apps. Here's how to set it up.
What is Health Connect?
Health Connect aggregates data from multiple fitness sources:
- Smartwatches (Wear OS, Samsung Galaxy Watch)
- Fitness trackers
- Other fitness apps
- Your phone's built-in sensors
Enabling Health Connect
- Open the eFit app
- Go to Settings
- Find Sync Health Connect
- Toggle the switch to On
- Grant the requested permissions when prompted
Required Permissions
eFit needs access to:
- Steps: To track your daily step count
- Heart Rate: To calculate intensity-based points
Using Multiple Devices
You can use multiple fitness trackers with eFit. Any device that syncs data to Health Connect will work, including:
- Smartwatches
- Fitness bands
- Your phone
The app aggregates all data from Health Connect automatically.
Troubleshooting
If your data isn't syncing:
- Ensure Health Connect is installed from the Play Store
- Check that permissions are granted in your phone's Settings
- Verify your fitness device is syncing to Health Connect
- Try toggling the Health Connect switch off and on
