Finish your course's Activity Tracker assignment with a final grade of 70% or higher and eFit awards you a Certificate of Excellence. It carries your name, your course, your total steps and the distance you walked, and you can save it as a PDF or an image to keep, print, or share.
Who earns one
- Your course includes the Activity Tracker assignment.
- The assignment's due date has passed. The certificate unlocks when the tracking window closes, so it reflects your whole term.
- Your final Activity Tracker grade is 70% or higher. This is the same percentage your My Grade page shows.
There is nothing to request or fill in. eFit checks your grade each time you open the certificate page.
Track your progress
Open Progress > Certificate any time during the term. The page shows:
- Where you stand: a message and a bar comparing your activity grade with the 70% mark. If you are below it, the message gives the average your remaining weeks need to finish at 70%.
- A summary: your grade, how many weeks have been graded out of the whole tracking window, how many of those weeks reached 70%, and when the assignment closes.
- Week by week: one bar per week with a dashed line at 70%. This week's bar fills in as you sync, and outlined bars are weeks still to come.
- How you earn it: the three conditions above, each marked done or still pending.
- A preview of your certificate with your own name and numbers so far.
When you earn it
- Log in after your Activity Tracker due date. Your account stays open after the semester ends, so you can come back for it any time.
- Look for the Congratulations! notice on your dashboard and choose View Certificate, or open Progress > Certificate as before.
Save, print, or share it
- Print / Save as PDF opens your browser's print window, already set to landscape. Pick Save as PDF as the printer to keep a file.
- Download as Image (PNG) saves a picture of the certificate you can attach to an email, add to a portfolio, or post.
On a phone the certificate shrinks to fit your screen. The PDF and the image are always full size.
What the certificate shows
Your name, your course name and number, the semester, your total steps and miles walked (kilometers if your profile uses metric units), your instructor's name, the date the assignment closed, and your school. Your grade is left off, so the certificate is safe to share.
If the page shows something else
- Certificate not earned this term means the assignment closed with a final grade below 70%. The page shows your final grade and each week's result. How your weekly activity grade works explains how that number was built.
- This course has no certificate means the course you have selected has no Activity Tracker assignment. If another of your courses has one, switch to it.
- Grading is not set up for this course yet, No weeks were graded for this assignment, or We could not find your Activity Tracker assignment means something in the course setup needs a look. Let your instructor know, or open a support ticket.
More than one course
Each certificate belongs to one course, and the certificate page uses the course currently selected in eFit. Switch to the other course first, then open Progress > Certificate. Add, switch, or remove a course shows how.
If something looks wrong
If your name, course, or step total looks wrong, or you expected a certificate and see a different message, open a support ticket and name the course. We can check the grade and the course setup for you.
