Tracking your nutrition is an important part of your fitness journey. eFit uses your connected fitness tracker to import meal data automatically.
Logging Meals via Fitbit
If you have a Fitbit account connected to eFit, log your meals through the Fitbit app:
- Open the Fitbit app on your phone
- Tap the + Log button
- Select Food
- Search for the food you ate or scan a barcode
- Enter the serving size and confirm
- Your meal data will sync to eFit automatically
What Gets Tracked
For each food item, eFit imports:
- Calories: Total energy content
- Carbohydrates: In grams
- Protein: In grams
- Fat: In grams
- Sodium: When available
- Fiber: When available
Viewing Your Food Log
- Go to your eFit Dashboard
- Your macronutrient breakdown appears as a pie chart
- For detailed logs, access the Nutrition section
Nutrition Assignment Requirements
For the nutrition written assignment, you need to log food for 3 consecutive days. The system will generate a report showing:
- Daily food logs with all items
- Pie charts of your macronutrient distribution
- Total calories, carbs, protein, and fat for each day
Tips for Accurate Logging
- Log immediately: Record meals right after eating for accuracy
- Use barcode scanner: Fastest way to log packaged foods
- Measure portions: Use measuring cups or a food scale
- Include everything: Don't forget drinks, snacks, and condiments
- Be consistent: Log all meals for 3 days in a row for your assignment
